Reading program profits individuals more than $1 million

This story is infuriating. How could this have slipped through the cracks? People implementing the "Reading First" program (yes, that's the same one that is a big part of No Child Left Behind legislation) made money from the textbooks and texts of the program.

I agree with representative George Miller who said in the article, "That sounds like a criminal enterprise to me."

At any rate, I am glad that the Justice Department is finally looking into this. For shame.
